I am aware how frustrating a problem it is, so, as i'm in Staffordshire, and you'd like a hand in sorting it out,let me know. It has been in for approx two weeks, during most of which, it has rained, and the car is totally dry !!!!!!!! Sometimes the hardest problems have the easiest solutions. However it still leaked !!! I then, removing the glass screen again, un screwed the two metal fixtures bolted to the glass that allow it to pivot.Again, having applied a generous amount of silocant sealer, I replaced the glass screen into the trough. I then replaced the sunroof, with a generous amount of sealant between the metal of the roof itself and the plastic trough, in which the glass screen sits. Having read advice similar to 'Bettabob', I removed the entire sunroof, checked the draining tubes which run through the windscreen suports. I scoured the internet to try and find a solution. It has been in to the garage who replaced the rubber seal, however the problem continued. She has had a leak which pools in the front nearside headlinigs for some months. In general there are several possible causes of water ingress to a foot well, from a damaged or deformed door seal to a blocked air-conditioning drain hose or.

Its simple, Plus if you know him, it'll be free.My girlfriend has a Clio 1.2 on a 51 plate with a manual sunroof. If not, just get a mechanic just to look over your car. Because it might not actually be your sunroof, Everyone thought it was mine. Mould? Then take it off and look closely at it. just to be If you can actually see where its wet to cause this. If there is damp or water marks around the sun visors I would say it is the sunroof, my exs clio had wet footwells, wondered where it came from, then noticed water marks around the visors. No more water coming through, It took a day or two to actually dry the sponge out, f**king things are a nightmare! Then put it all back together and its been perfect since, only problem is that my bottom vents dont actually work ahah, but i'd rather leave them than f**k around with it and get the same problem again, But. So I took them apart, Drained them, Sealed back up the hatch and then. So as I saw, It was actually coming through the heater foot vents.

sitting inside the car I could actually hear the water treadling down into my car. In the end, I decided enough of waiting and got the hose and sat it over my car. I was unable to drive my car for days as the second I done this, the water was slowly getting less. The smell was horrendous and I almost gave up on it all as it just kept coming back.Īfter careful consideration I decided to ignore my dad and brother and take my drivers seat out, Rip the carpet up and see what the problem was.

I had a big water leak, Literally causing puddles in my car, at one point I had to use big pint glasses to empty my car full of the water, Luckily it was only on the drivers side, Front + Rear. In the corner of the roof near the windscreen I am getting very wet patches there which has now turned the roofing felt a light green colour. Now with regards to my other leak I haven't read of this issue anywhere as of yet. Now hopefully with the help of other peoples replies I can find a solution to this problem. ie under the suttle panel/windscreen cover. I am going to get my friend to have a look at some of the possible fixes that I've read on here. And then I came across this forum, thank god! I didn't think I would be alone in this problem due to hearing that it was a very common problem with Clios. The first thing I found to try was to take the sunroof out and check that the drainage holes were clear, they were and the water flowed straight through and out under the wheel arches. As I've said I don't know hardly anything about the repairing side of cars so my best friend is google/youtube.

I have the same problems as a lot of other users on here when it comes to leaks in my clio 04 plate.

Good Morning! As my username suggest I am not the most technically gifted when it comes to cars.
